Lighting designer, programmer and director Chris Merriman was born into the business. Along with his mother and technical director father, Chris went on his first tour at the tender age of eight months. By middle school he had already worked on stage crews, community theater and school productions, and camp band shows. After completing a theater tech apprenticeship in high school, Chris spent his senior semester on tour as the electrician and spotlight operator for a national production of Can-Can. From there, the boy wonder developed into a seasoned pro, designing, directing and programming the lighting for a variety of live shows and well-known musical theater productions. Over the past decade, Chris has brought his unique talents to the corporate world, working on events for clients such as Shedd Aquarium, Takeda, Astellas, Hertz, Wells Fargo, ASIS, Aramark, Lowes, Autotrader, Pepsi, Kia and Thyssen Krupp, as well as trade show environments and press events for Toshiba, Sega and Electronic Arts, among others. He has received multiple industry awards for his use of technology and lighting.
