Eric Southern is an award winning lighting designer whose work in theater, opera, and dance has been seen throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Eric received an MFA in set and lighting design and BFA in theater from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. His work has been seen at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, The Guthrie Theater, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra among others. Recently his work in environmental and immersive performance has expanded into non-traditional venues. His love for architecture is apparent in his approach to live performance and has helped him easily transition into architectural and event lighting. His work across disciplines focuses on a person's experience of space through light.
