What It Was

Produced by Gary Goddard Entertainment, Monster Mansion at Six Flags Over Georgia is a multi-million dollar renovation of the 27 year-old attraction previously called Monster Plantation.

What We Did

Lightswitch listened carefully to the concerns and needs of the project’s Creative and Art Directors when developing the designs and incorporated their feedback into our design solutions. The attraction is very unique in its style and color. We chose to use a lot color and break ups, the goal was to create depth and texture throughout.

We also worked closely with the local systems integrator and sound designer to integrate the lighting design with other elements of the attraction.

In addition, we felt the pressure of getting this one just right for the local community. As we learned while working on this, this attraction is a long loved local favorite.

Why It Worked

Lightswitch’s extensive experience in themed attractions as well as our team’s long working relationship with Gary Goddard Entertainment allowed this project’s tight schedule to be successfully met. The entire project from design creation to opening day was roughly 15 weeks.

The design concept enhanced and updated the original attraction’s nostalgic charm, while bringing it into the 21st century in terms of technology, efficiency and reliability. Six Flags as well as local residents alike are enthralled with the new version of the classic experience.
