What It WasThe Spirit of Ford Visitors Center and Museum houses the Advanced Technology Lab, which is designed to give visitors of all ages insight into the role that technology plays in modern vehicle design and operation. What We DidThe use of cool daylight color temperature fixtures for exhibits is contrasted with warm incandescent sources which provide ambient light and accent details. Why It WorkedLighting was designed to not only support the high tech message, but also to make the straightforward space feel inviting, avoiding any sense of a clinical environment. The area is largely unsupported by a curatorial staff, so particular attention was paid to ensuring that lighting is as low maintenance as possible. | |||||||||||||
