Located directly across the street from iconic Wrigley Field, Boka Restaurant Group wanted it’s latest venture to reflect its location in one America’s most famous neighborhoods. The restaurant space consists of two floors, with the lower level housing the bar and the upstairs being a more intimate fine dining experience. Working in collaboration with Chipman Design Architecture and New York-based interior design firm AvroKO, Dutch & Doc is our ninth collaboration with Boka Restaurant Group.
We worked closely with AvroKO on the design and functionality of many decorative fixtures and designed additional architectural lighting to supplement in places where the decorative lighting wasn’t enough. The top floor, with its floor-to-ceiling windows looking directly out to the infamous Wrigley Field sign, has flex seating to allow for private parties or game-day festivities and is used at various times throughout the day and evening. We detailed highly flexible lighting requirements for each of the space’s different custom luminaires to not only include the light source but also the dimming and maintenance requirements.
Today, Dutch & Doc’s is a warm, inviting, and exciting restaurant – whether you are dining upstairs or having a drink at the bar. Staying true to our past collaborations with Boka Group, our lighting design for this newest venture was a success because it met their high standards and was designed on time and on budget.
