Lightswitch returned to Southern California to create another art and light experience that was even better than previous years.
Descanso Gardens’ premier season of Enchanted: Forest of Light was a smashing success. The holiday light+art experience returned in 2017 bigger and better!
After the initial success of the inaugural year of Enchanted, Lightswitch returned to expand on our initial creative direction and design of the show. Several experiences were expanded and two new areas were added to the show; Pixel Grove, which intersperses 3-meter tall digital reeds within a dormant lilac garden, and Starlight Garden featuring a new installation by sculptural artists HYBYCOZO. Interactive light artist Jen Lewin also returned with a new work titled Aqueous, and Lightswitch created a media art piece for the gardens’ Theater Under The Oaks.
Curating the entire guest experience and working with featured installation artists, we expanded and elaborated the popular show in its second year, helping to cement its place as a Southern California holiday tradition for all ages and cultures.
