Hyundai Dealer Meeting

Montgomery, Alabama | 2010

Lightswitch worked with Producers and Designers from Jack Morton Worldwide to take a limited budget and execute a modern and theatrical presentation that could rapidly change into the evening party.

What It Was

Hyundai took their North American dealers down south to visit the automaker’s manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama. As part of the festivities dealers were treated to an executive presentation and a dinner reception featuring a virtual mockup of the future dealership design, as well as the entire 2011 product lineup.

What We Did

Lightswitch worked with Producers and Designers from Jack Morton Worldwide to take a limited budget and execute a modern and theatrical presentation that could rapidly change into the evening party. Utilizing economic yet flexible tools, the design minimized turnaround costs, while keeping on theme. Lighting was designed to mimic both the real-world lighting conditions desired in the new dealership design, as well as to enhance and extend the “virtual architecture” theme that ran throughout the show‘s video graphics.

Why It Worked

Lighting helped transform the entire room into a world-class theater and then again just a few hours later into a sophisticated event space showcasing the company’s product in museum-quality light. By playing off the virtual scenery in the video content, the effect of a larger architectural experience was brought to life. The entire project went smoothly and stayed on budget.
