Intel decided to produce the launch of their new Centrino processor at the hip, downtown Mezzanine Venue in San Francisco. The club atmosphere was an intimate way to introduce their product to a small but elite group of analysts from the technology community. The challenge was to make it look like an urban club, but still bring professional production values to the launch which was also web cast to a large audience.
Lightswitch combined white, presentational lighting with saturated LEDs echoing the palette of Intel's corporate colors. Rental lighting from Island Creative was used to supplement the Mezzanine's own in-house inventory.
Lightswitch worked with the producer, Foghorn Creative, to create an event that (with minimal load in time) was simple and effective. The large amount of LED fixtures helped keep the power needs down. The large concrete walls and wooden beams of the space, when grazed with light, looked incredibly rich, with minimal expense.
