Working once again with long time Lightswitch collaborator and Parnelli award-winning production designer Nook Schoenfeld, we are proud to have designed media and video content for Kid Rocks ‘Best Night Ever!’ tour which shook up the traditional business model for concert touring.

Working once again with long time Lightswitch collaborator and Parnelli award-winning production designer Nook Schoenfeld, we are proud to have designed media and video content for Kid Rocks ‘Best Night Ever!’ tour which shook up the traditional business model for concert touring. We’ll let the man himself describe the intent — "Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn't want that to be a reason why everyone couldn't get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night. So we're going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that is reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks...if this works we're going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we're doing. If it doesn't, might be a long summer. But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I'm lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever."

What We Did

We took the content and video design from the preceding ‘Rebel Soul’ tour, and refined and reshaped it for the new show set list and production goals. Working as always in close collaboration with Nook, we re-examined the entire show, filling some gaps and creating new content to support changes in creative direction.

Why It Worked

We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Nook and Kid Rock, both supporting Nooks ventures as well as working with Kid Rock to tailor content to suit his specific tastes – content that is relevant, patriotic, focused on supporting his songs not upstaging them, balanced with a right sized tongue in cheek humor and a sense of inviting his audience to look through his personal life. By understanding the artists' desires and working responsibly within a budget, we exceeded expectations without breaking the bank and have a very happy client. We look forward to many more years working with the true ‘American Badass’…
