International skin care company Nu Skin rolled out the red carpet for some very important guests—more than 10,000 of its sales associates—at its biannual corporate convention. Produced by Executive Visions, Inc., the event included an awards ceremony to honor top-earning associates, speeches from top executives and a variety of live acts to entertain attendees.

What We Did

Lightswitch was part of the team that transformed the EnergySolutions arena into an awards-show style venue with three red-carpeted walkways that led to a giant, raised main stage, where everything from corporate presentations to headline musical acts and Broadway-style productions took place. To meet the needs of the multi-faceted event, we illuminated the stage and stadium seating using a flexible, large-scale lighting rig that could easily transition from one show element to the next. We also lined the walkways that lead to the stage with LED lighting for extra visual punch. The show was broadcast online and on video screens in the venue, so all lighting solutions were designed to be camera-ready.

Why It Worked

Part corporate meeting, part live entertainment production, the convention required a multidisciplinary design approach. We drew on our experience designing lighting and media for a range of events, headline acts and live shows to create a versatile lighting solution that made each of the show’s diverse elements shine.
