Ptarmigan Integration Limited

Ptarmigan Integration Limited is practicing what it preaches at its new Hong Kong office. As Asia’s leading lighting system integration company, Ptarmigan has designed and integrated some of the region’s most innovative lighting installations. When it came to the lighting for its new office, Ptarmigan wanted to showcase its expertise and provide its expanding work force with a welcoming environment.

Lightswitch Hong Kong partnered with Ptarmigan and interior designer Yeo Studio to fit out the 3,600-square-foot commercial office space with lighting that met the client’s needs for functionality, energy-efficiency, quality and performance. In the open office area, we added sleek, new linear fluorescent luminaires with high-efficiency, 3,500K lamps that create a bright, warm atmosphere. We relamped the existing fixtures in the private offices with the same 3,500K lamps to enhance the light quality while keeping costs down. For meeting spaces, we used different combinations of LED downlights and wall washers to suit the unique needs of each space. We worked closely with Ptarmigan, which integrated the conference room AV and control equipment, to ensure that the lighting was customized to its needs. This included adding a mock-up of mini ellipsoidal reflector spotlights in the smaller conference room so that the company could demonstrate its lighting capabilities to clients. We also collaborated with Yeo Studio on source selection and arrangement of the decorative fixtures in the reception and break out areas.

Lightswitch recognized Ptarmigan’s need for lighting that serves both its employees and its clients. Our design incorporates clean, bright, functional illumination for workers and integrates the latest advanced lighting systems that showcase Ptarmigan’s skills to its clients. Photos by Yeo Studio
