As a child, Amelia’s plans were to be “a fairy, a baker, and a theme park designer.” She grew up surrounded by special effects and visual art, and experimented with every piece of technology she could get her hands on. Years later, a chance assignment as a board op spurred her on the path to pursuing lighting design, and while studying Theatre Design at Emerson College, she rediscovered her childhood dream.

Amelia is deeply passionate about creating immersive experiences through the combination of art and technology. Whether theme parks, botanical gardens, or museum spaces, she believes lighting has the power to inspire wonder and transform a space into an unforgettable experience. By working with Lightswitch and creating magic with lighting, Amelia continues to realize those childhood dreams - and she can bake a dang good brownie too.
