Jess is a multi-faceted creator and designer who enjoys working with a variety of disciplines across the industry. With original aspirations of becoming a veterinarian, she pursued and received dual degrees of a B.S. in Animal Science and a B.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Rhode Island.  While in undergrad, she realized her true passions lay with lighting design, pushing her to attend and ultimately receive an M.F.A. in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University a few years later.  

With over 50 production designs under her belt, Jess uses her strong lighting design background to bring projects to their fullest potential by looking at architectural projects through a theatrical lens.  Her background in the visual arts, including painting, drawing, and color theory, also allow her to expertly understand the use of color and how it is best suited from project to project. Jess is always looking for inspiration around her and will often be snapping photos of interesting lighting looks that she sees in the world, hoping to one day use them in a design where they shine.
