Margaret Garrity was immersed in music from an early age—playing, composing, and performing throughout her formative years. That passion eventually led her to the world of theatre, where she discovered the unique storytelling power of light and its ability to interact with sound in emotional, dynamic ways. She received her BFA in Production and Design from Pace University and is currently pursuing her MFA in Lighting Design at Boston University. While in school, she worked on a variety of productions, exploring how light can shift perspective and shape an audience’s experience. Margaret is driven by a deep curiosity and love for research and collaboration, always seeking new ways to push the boundaries of lighting design.
