Audi North American Auto Shows

North American Auto Shows | 2003

Audi has turned to Lightswitch many times since 2003 for our design expertise.

What It Was

Audi has turned to Lightswitch many times since 2003 for our design expertise. In 2003, Audi designed a new booth for the “major” North American Auto shows. The design incorporates a huge fabric tension structure designed by the George P. Johnson Company and built by Moss.

What We Did

In the booth designs, Lightswitch designers focused complete attention on the vehicles by lighting them as if they were precious jewels; allowing them to sparkle in the light and drawing exhibit-goers into the booth to see more. Combining our knowledge of lighting with that of media design, we were able to incorporate the idea of large format projected imagery on an auto show floor. Given the very high ambient light levels in this environment, that was no small feat. Other photos shown here are from various events that Lightswitch has been asked to design since 2003. We have partnered with Audi in locations around the globe, from Munich to Beverly Hills to New York City, on dealer meetings, media and private events.

Why It Worked

Lightswitch has a continuing relationship with Audi North America and continues to work closely with them on their auto show and global event needs. We believe that the relationship between Audi and Lightswitch continues because our approach to design is “tier one” just like the Audi brand.
