Boulevard 3 is one of the hottest new hospitality and event venues in Hollywood. Located in the historic former Hollywood Athletic Club space, Boulevard 3 combines multiple indoor and outdoor spaces, all decorated in classical style, and brings a new level of sophistication to the LA nightlife scene.
Lightswitch worked with Boulevard 3 and its interior designers to develop a state of the art, yet discreetly elegant lighting design. With extensive use of programmable LED fixtures, and absolutely no strobing, spinning or nightclub-style lighting whatsoever, the design supports the overall concept.
The owner's alternative "counterclub" concept succeeds in no small part due to an effective, exciting and dramatic environment rather than competing with it. Special event clients have a flexible palette to tailor the look of all the spaces to their needs, while the nightly DJs can easily manipulate the colors and looks to their liking.
