The large outdoor shopping area includes play areas for children, a gazebo, restaurants within walking distance, and an easy-going and relaxed environment.
Our focus for this project was its longevity. We used CDM, very long life theatrical fixtures for the outdoor wash light. For color, custom dichroic glass was ordered; a nearly indestructible alternate to conventional color media. Linear plasma tubes were installed in the gazebo and cold cathode in the clerestory windows.
Much of the success of this project is attributed to the interfacing of color changing animated lighting effects with popular music selections, creating a dynamic and immersive environment for this area opposite a multiplex, thus attracting and entertaining guests of a younger demographic.
