Disney Upfront

New York City | 2007

Working closely with Terry Gipson of the Gipson Design Group, Lightswitch consulted on the very fresh idea of installing LED pixels in the scenic elements.

What It Was

The Disney Channel's annual upfront at the Hudson Theater in Midtown Manhattan is always a showcase for the latest and greatest from the network.

What We Did

Working closely with Terry Gipson of the Gipson Design Group, Lightswitch consulted on the very fresh idea of installing LED pixels in the scenic elements. Lightswitch then provided all onsite support including pre-programming and day of show programming of the complex looks and chases that supported the high energy show.

Why It Worked

Lightswitch provided consultation to the Gipson Design Group to help realize the fantastic idea of the set. The idea was simple but the execution was rather complex, so the scenic designer turned to Lightswitch as a resource to execute the design. Lightswitch provided the necessary expertise in a very short time frame and within the tight budget. The results were dazzling.
