Rock stars and sports cars are a natural fit, so when Porsche and Rolling Stone teamed up to present a one-of-a-kind concert event, the results were killer. Held at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles on December 5th, "Engine Notes" – feting the launch of the brand's all-new E-Performance models – featured all-star performances by Dave Navarro and the Royal Machines, state-of-the-art light and sound effects and some of the sleekest, fastest cars in the world.
Working with long time Lightswitch clients XD Agency, Lightswitch designed lighting for the concert stage, the reception in the Porsche Experience Center and the expansive track. Utilizing Musco trucks and hundreds of moving lights, we transformed the track into a dynamic stage for a car ‘ballet’. IN addition to the event, the Lightswitch team also crafted lighting for a prior shoot to capture vehicle ‘beauty shots’.
Lightswitch is multi-disciplinary in nature, as was this event. Part video shoot, part rock concert, part party and part bespoke special event, all aspects of the lighting for this event needed special attention to detail. Lightswitch are experts in all these diverse and sometimes contradictory fields, and assembled a team perfectly suited for the event ensuring a memorable event both for guests at the event and those viewing on social and other media.
