Lightswitch used state of the art pre-visualization software, and the latest high wattage spotlighting to bring the entire field to life for the many presentations throughout the night.
The Gay Games committee chose the scenic and central Soldier Field as the place for their opening games in 2006. The event was over 5 hours long, and included musical performances, dance, poetry, an introduction of athletes, and many, many other elements. The finale included a triumphant large-scale fireworks and lighting display.

The use of WYSIWYG software ensured that programming time outdoors was kept to a minimum, and that the live show went off without a hitch. The lighting was incorporated into the music and fireworks, and showed the world that Chicago knows how to put on a good show.
