Halsey "For My Last Trick" tour

Halsey’s 2025 “For My Last Trick” Tour stands out as one of the year’s most creatively ambitious pop productions —  a visually striking and thematically rich experience. Working closely with Halsey, her creative team, and longtime Lightswitch collaborator and scenic designer Derek McLane, we developed a lighting design that matched the tour’s bold narrative and emotional depth. The show unfolds in two distinct acts: an ethereal, dreamlike first half inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, followed by a dynamic, full-tilt rock performance once the protagonist “wakes up.” This thematic duality demanded a lighting design that could fluidly shift between two contrasting aesthetics while staying within tight logistical and budgetary parameters. Our approach focused on flexibility and efficiency, ensuring each look served the story without excess. The final result is a powerful, cohesive design that captures Halsey’s multidimensional artistry and elevates the audience experience — taking fans on a journey that’s as unforgettable as the artist herself.
