Karol G “Bichota” Reloaded Tour

After completing lighting direction for the U.S. Bichota tour, Lightswitch adjusted the show for its “Reloaded” iteration in Latin America. Through a foundation of trust and communication, we worked with Karol to adapt her vision for the show into reality.

What it Was

When Karol G relaunched her Bichota tour for Latin American audiences, Lightswitch was brought on to alter the original design to create Bichota Reloaded. The Latin American tour was twice as large as the U.S. tour, so our team made sure to adjust the design to accommodate larger venues. We also made logistical changes that helped the tour run smoothly outside of the U.S.

What We Did

After completing lighting direction for the U.S. Bichota tour, Lightswitch adjusted the show for its “Reloaded” iteration in Latin America. This time, our team was responsible for a large swath of duties: lighting, set, and laser design, as well as new video content (in collaboration with Hidden Road Studios).

The changes we implemented helped the tour transition to its run in Latin America without any logistical issues. We consolidated the necessary lighting fixtures, ensuring that the correct equipment would always be available on the road. We also converted all measurements to the metric system – a change that may seem small, but one that makes a world of difference on an international tour. Finally, we designed the laser components of the show and incorporated the massive LED wall that transformed Karol G’s performances into immersive musical experiences.

Our close relationship with Karol allowed the process of this redesign to run smoothly. Through a foundation of trust and communication, we worked with Karol to adapt her vision for the show into reality. A tour of this size requires a strict schedule and intense logistics, but these elements were manageable due to our rapport with the artist. In the end, we worked closely with Karol to adjust her tour so she could go on to delight brand new audiences across Latin America.
