Lightswitch filled three days with excitement, color, and energy, demonstrating our pragmatic design ethos in our budget-focused, schedule-aware, yet visually impressive system.
More than 3,000 leaders from across Lowe’s management gathered in Las Vegas as the company staged its 2024 Store Managers’ Meeting. Each year at this three-day meeting, attendees come together to discuss the company’s strategic direction, prepare for the coming months, and get motivated to lead their teams through the year. The theme of this year’s meeting was a sports-centric “Hungry to Win” – a recognition of what Lowe’s must do to continue to be successful in the future, and a reminder of all the ways Lowe’s employees serve customers in the communities where they live and work. Producer XD Agency brought Lightswitch to the event to help craft a memorable and inspirational experience for the guests.
Lightswitch has worked on this project since 2008, and we were thrilled to return once again. As in past years, the event entailed three days of high-energy entertainment, presenters, and awards in the form of a hybrid rock show, corporate meeting, and rally. Lightswitch designed an expansive lighting system for the large audience in one full hall at Venetian Expo Center. Supporting the sports theme of the event, we used an array of large LED “9 lites” to create the stadium aesthetic desired by the producer. Additionally, we leaned into our concert lighting bag of tricks to bring energy and excitement to “Lowe’s Got Talent,” an internal company-wide music talent competition.
Filling three days with excitement, color, and energy takes a skilful balancing of pacing and design intent, balancing restraint and exuberance. We demonstrated our pragmatic design ethos in our budget-focused, schedule-aware, yet visually impressive system, which was a “home run” for this year’s event. We can’t wait for 2025.
