Novellus

San Francisco, CA | 2000

Results have included several interactive themed environments, ranging from a bridge through a 'lighting valley' to reach a motion ride, to the ultimate anti-statement: an exhibit booth with no product and no staff - just a Zen arrangement of video monoliths and lit scrims.

What It Was

The engaging and unexpected environments found at the Novellus booth have impressed attendees to the Semicon West Exhibit for the past five years. In order to position themselves as the mavericks in the field, the semiconductor equipment manufacturer has encouraged the creative team to 'push the envelope'.

What We Did

Results have included several interactive themed environments, ranging from a bridge through a 'lighting valley' to reach a motion ride, to the ultimate anti-statement: an exhibit booth with no product and no staff - just a Zen arrangement of video monoliths and lit scrims.

Why It Worked

Environmental lighting played a key role in each diverse project, including integration of theatrical, automated and architectural fixtures. Careful design was required to ensure that what was essentially a temporary theme park attraction could be installed in a timely and cost effective manner.
