Peak6 25th Anniversary Celebration

Lightswitch collaborated with Paulette Wolf Events (PWE) to light the ballroom, food stations, and activity areas at the 2022 Peak6 anniversary celebration. Each year, PWE constructs an exclusive, unique party for Peak6, an asset risk management firm. The 2022 celebration was extra special, as it was PEAK6’s 25th birthday. The party was held at the soaring grand rotunda ballroom at Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier, and was an homage to the GOATs (Greatest Of All Time).

We are always excited to work with PWE on their bold, one-of-a-kind event conceptions – and this was no exception. The event featured food and drink stations highlighting famous GOATs like Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jordan, Frida Kahlo, and Alexander Graham Bell, as well as GOAT-themed activities and actual goats dressed as GOATs. On top of all this, the party included performances by Sam Hunt and Bruno Mars.

Lightswitch worked with the PWE decor team to transform the stunning Navy Pier ballroom into a dynamic kaleidoscope of celebratory color. Themed food stations were picked out with inviting light, while the decor for each station reflected the cuisine’s design vocabulary.

The stage design was a collaboration between Lightswitch, Bruno Mars’ lighting designer Whitney Hoversten, and Sam Hunt's designer Kyle Lovan. Lightswitch created a holistic design that served both artists' needs, while still maintaining the balance of the program. This ensured a curated and conscious design, as opposed to a random “festival of bands” look.

The Lightswitch team’s far-reaching experience in special event and concert lighting design meant we were uniquely qualified for this project. We nimbly pivoted when weather issues meant Sam Hunt moved from an outdoor stage into the ballroom, making sure everyone's needs were met. Each aspect of the event called for a different skill set, and our team tackled the challenge with confidence.
