Lightswitch was thrilled to help deliver an all-new music experience to the audience of West Chester County and help launch Voices of America Country Music Fest as a new brand in the country music festival scene.
The Voices of America Country Music Fest was history in the making: a gathering of country music’s greatest legends for three days of live performances in the “Heart of it All.” This new music festival brought big names to the Tri-State area for the summer of 2023. Artists featured at the inaugural Voices of America Country Music Fest included Dan + Shay, Old Dominion, Chris Young, and Alabama. Other big names included Riley Green, Jake Owen, and Jo Dee Messina. More than 30 artists performed in honor of the history of Voice of America MetroPark, where the event was held. A portion of the proceeds benefited the Voice of America Museum, which celebrates The Voice of America’s Bethany Relay Station that transmitted American radio programming around the world during World War II.
Tyler Wogenstahl, the Founder and President of Further Events – and the producer of Voices of America Country Music Fest – enlisted Lightswitch, along with our frequent collaborator Daniel Slezinger, to provide production, lighting and media design, and consultation for the event. Our task was to make sure the first year of Voices of America Country Music Fest was a smash hit! In collaboration with Production Director Art Rich, we designed the main stage lighting and video systems, coordinated with all the headliner production teams to support their needs (both on the main stage and in an on-site previz suite), and provided content and lighting design for artists who lacked their own team.
Having designed compelling entertainment for thirty years, Lightswitch truly understands the viewpoint of touring artists. We know how stressful it can be to enter a festival on the day of the show – and how helpful it can be to have a qualified team there to support you. It can make the difference between a bad day and a really great day! We live for music, and we live to help build brands – and Voices of America Country Music Fest gave us the opportunity to do both. We were thrilled to deliver an all-new music experience to the audience of West Chester County and help launch Voices of America Country Music Fest as a new brand in the country music festival scene. Voices of America Country Music Fest 2024 is already on the calendar, and promises to be even bigger and better, with Keith Urban announced as headliner!
