Nissan's offsite event in conjunction with the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show to focus on the future of sustainable energy and its relation to its own product roadmap.

WHAT IT WAS

Nissan held an offsite event in conjunction with the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show to focus on the future of sustainable energy and its relation to its own product roadmap. Consisting of a day of discussions and symposiums with industry and academic leaders, the event concluded with a reception and the presentation of the latest Nissan Leaf electric vehicle.

WHAT WE DID

The event took place at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles. We worked with experiential agency George P. Johnson to design lighting for two presentation theaters and an exterior plaza demonstrating various forms of renewable energy products and the new Nissan electric vehicles. Utilizing a lighting system composed completely of LED light fixtures, we were able to effectively light the entire event with the latest, most energy efficient lighting techniques.

WHY IT WORKED

Bringing attention to the discussion and global movement toward clean energy isn’t just part of Nissan’s marketing plans. As an automotive industry leader with the goal of Zero Emissions vehicles, the Nissan Futures event was a platform to further the discussion of a more energy efficient auto industry. The event firmly reinforced the Nissan brand’s alignment with this goal, solidifying its position as a leader of sustainable energy.
