Every two years premier anti-aging company NuSkin turns to Atlanta based Executive Visions Inc. (EVI) and its team of producers, directors and creative visionaries to create an exciting and memorable experience for distributors and guests from around the world. A long time Lightswitch client and collaborator, EVI once again drafted us to design lighting for the entire event and content for concert and entertainment performances.

What It Was

(EVI) and its team of producers, directors and creative visionaries to create an exciting and memorable experience for distributors and guests from around the world. A long time Lightswitch client and collaborator, EVI once again drafted us to design lighting for the entire event and content for concert and entertainment performances.

What We Did

With three major performances—the opening Gwen Stefani show, the NuSkin business presentations, and a closing event featured Oscar, Grammy and Emmy-winning composer Hans Zimmer and a live performance of music from his films —all happening in the same arena using the same lights and video equipment, the Lightswitch team had their hands full. Creating a light plot that would accommodate everyone’s expectations and produce three spectacular shows was a heavy lift, but we worked closely with the Executive Visions design team to determine the path forward, and together a concept that would maximize the effect of each performance and presentation in the arena space. The visual concept was best defined by the words ‘in motion’. We created an experience that was different from shows at the audience’s local arena, and had a level of immersion that combined the visuals in a way that delivered a compelling experience right into the laps of the audience, whether they were in row A or Z. The Lightswitch designers also had to take into account how the production would appear to the audience livestreaming the event. There was an audience in the room that is incredibly important, but there were also millions of people watching on the livestream, and also there’s social media—we had to make sure that this was not just a blown-out blob of light on iPhone and cameras.

Why It Worked

The resulting series of arena events exceeded the client’s expectations, while delighting millions of viewers who watched the livestreaming program. Henry Ford once said ‘Any seemingly daunting project is possible if you divide it into small pieces,’ Everyone on this project had their piece and executed flawlessly. Even with a very tight load-in and three intense days of shows, the Executive Visions and Lightswitch team triumphed.”
