Samsung CES 2013

Las Vegas | 2013

Lightswitch designers collaborated with exhibit designers on all aspects of the design, integrating architectural as well as theatrical lighting fixtures into the exhibit space.

What It Was

Samsung honored Lightswitch by once again selecting Lightswitch to design lighting for their massive booth at CES. Displaying the entire Samsung consumer electronics product line from washing machines to HD televisions, the design needed to highlight literally thousands of products of radically different size while still presenting a cohesive, brand centric aesthetic.

What We Did

Lightswitch designers collaborated with exhibit designers on all aspects of the design, integrating architectural as well as theatrical lighting fixtures into the exhibit space. Extensive use of LED track fixtures allowed us to pick out smaller consumer products like phones and tablets, while larger theatrical luminaires were used to define the space and present an immersive environmental experience in the central plaza of the booth.

Why It Worked

Successful projects are always built on a foundation teamwork, and we collaborated extensively with both the exhibit designers and the numerous Samsung product managers to ensure all parties needs and wishes were addressed. By combing our experience in design for environments, events and architectural design, we were able to ensure a cohesive aesthetic, a coherent plan and a successful project.
