Samsung CES 2012

Las Vegas | 2012

Lightswitch collaborated with exhibit designers Czarnowski on all aspects of the design, integrating architectural as well as theatrical lighting fixtures into the exhibit space.

What It Was

Lightswitch was proud to be selected by Samsung to design lighting for their massive booth at CES. Displaying the entire Samsung consumer electronics product line from washing machines to HD televisions, the design needed to highlight literally thousands of products of radically different size while still presenting a cohesive, brand centric aesthetic.

What We Did

Lightswitch collaborated with exhibit designers Czarnowski on all aspects of the design, integrating architectural as well as theatrical lighting fixtures into the exhibit space. By combining energy efficient daylight sources with a broad array of automated fixtures, an efficient, flexible lighting system was created, that was able to rapidly and efficiently respond to on going exhibit design refinements during installation.

Why It Worked

A large, complex booth requires a large, complex lighting system, but we combined our experience in design for environments, events and architecture to make this complexity transparent to the client, and allow them to focus on their booth, while we focused on flawless execution of their vision.
