Subaru North American Auto Shows 2011-2012

Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, New York | 2011-2012

Working with Production Resource Group and Studio Creative, Lightswitch created exhibit and event lighting that matched the brand’s quiet confidence.

What It Was

Subaru swept the auto show circuit from 2011 to 2012, exhibiting at the Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles and New York shows. While other automakers struggled to stay afloat during the recession, Subaru thrived, posting sales and market share increases during a challenging time for the industry. Its resilient and reliable image was the inspiration for its auto show concept.

What We Did

Working with Production Resource Group and Studio Creative, Lightswitch created exhibit and event lighting that matched the brand’s quiet confidence. Image-rich media and theatrical lighting created a dynamic backdrop for the roll out of new products, such as the Subaru BRZ concept and the 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek, which were introduced at the Los Angeles and New York auto shows.

Why It Worked

We utilized PRG’s existing inventory to keep costs down and partnered with Studio Creative to produce visually and emotionally compelling events that achieved Subaru’s creative goals.
