In a change from previous years when managers attended in multiple regional groups over several weeks, McDonalds decided to bring together the entire audience for one mega-meeting. Thus the creative had to balance arena size spectacle with a need to intimately connect with every member of the audience. A system centered around a large compliment of automated fixtures, low resolution ‘scenic’ LED and a media server based playback system allowed the design team the highest degree of creativity and flexibility.
By carefully crafting blended lighting and media design, the visual tableau was scaled to fit the creative arc of the production. Huge and bold for celebratory moments, detailed and theatrical for more intimate messages. It left the audience feeling connected, energized and proud to be part of the McDonalds team.
