Nissan 2021 Sentra launch

The launch of the all-new 2021 Nissan Sentra took place in November 2019 for a press and influencer audience. The reveal and reception, which coincided with the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, was held in an industrial warehouse venue in the Downtown LA Arts District.

WHAT IT WAS

The launch of the all-new 2021 Nissan Sentra took place in November 2019 for a press and influencer audience. The reveal and reception, which coincided with the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, was held in an industrial warehouse venue in the Downtown LA Arts District. Our design for the event reflected the colorful, bold atmosphere of the surrounding neighborhood.

WHAT WE DID

Lightswitch designed lighting for the entire event, working alongside the creative team from George P. Johnson Experience Marketing. The space held many attractions, including a gallery area with life-sized foam models of vehicles, several themed areas featuring photo opportunities, artisan-crafted souvenirs, and even an In-N-Out Burger truck. The Lightswitch team took the industrial, historic environment of this building and juxtaposed it with modern lighting, strong colors, and bold graphics.

WHY IT WORKED

Through fun and clever lighting, our team managed to strike a balance between a vibrant, exciting environment and a grounded, genuine presentation of the Nissan brand. Our minimal but powerful design set the right tone — confident and strong, but not extravagant or distracting — which kept the focus on Nissan’s message and products.
