Nintendo E3 2004

Los Angeles | 2004

Lightswitch was able to make a dramatic statement both technically and artistically by utilizing LED technology.

What It Was

Nintendo once again called upon Lightswitch to illuminate their 2004 E3 booth in a unique way. Rather than to simply "blast attendees" with a typical assortment of moving lights, Don James of Nintendo wished to create an inviting atmosphere that would draw people in and encourage them to stay.

What We Did

Lightswitch was able to make a dramatic statement both technically and artistically by utilizing LED technology. Creative and practical needs were both met using hundreds of technologically advanced fixtures, including over 80 Color Kinetics Color Blasts.

Why It Worked

The LED technology used proved very advantageous from a power consumption basis. Lightswitch was able to significantly reduce the number of 400 Amp electrical services used in previous years which, at convention rates, saved the client many thousands of dollars. The Nintendo E3 booth received international recognition for its outstanding appearance.
